Esta canción nació tras escuchar un programa de radio acerca del impacto del ser humano en la tierra y en si nuestras huellas están ya tan marcadas como para poder hablar de una nueva era geológica.

La vida ha seguido y seguirá su camino por muchos millones de años independientemente de nosotros. No somos tan importantes, tan solo somos los últimos en pisar esta tierra que nació hace millones de años, cuando no éramos más que una rara posibilidad.

Nuestras cenizas serán el alimento de la vida del futuro así como el alimento de la nuestra han sido las cenizas de otras vidas. No tiene sentido empeñarse en ser los mejores para acabar siendo los mejores muertos, los más ricos del cementerio. ¿Tan importante es dejar marcado en las rocas de la tierra cómo fue nuestro paso por ella?

¿Tan cara quieres tu lápida que tienes que vender el futuro de otros para pagarla? ¿Cómo quieres que quede tu nombre grabado en la piedra? Quizá de ninguna manera porque la vida importa más que las historias que se cuenten de ella.
